Handwoven Bamboo / Linen Scarf with Silk and Alpaca
 
This handwoven scarf has a natural Bamboo and Linen warp with some handspun Suri Alpaca locks on the edge, and a favourite silk as the weft.
 
The fringe is a bit of this ‘n that… twisted, left plain but thread wrapped at the ends in silk, and a couple of plaits.

I used a varident reed to give subtle changes in the weave structure.

The handspun Suri Alpaca locks are from a spinning workshop I did last year.

Photos don’t show the subtle sheen throughout, but I’m really happy with it.
It’s earthy, lustrous, whimsical and elegant.  The perfect accessory!
